Overview

A hands-on contributor, which performs repairs, planned maintenance and Non-Planned Maintenance (IE; improvements) to maintain the facility and facility related equipment at Noven Pharmaceuticals in a compliant and operational readiness state. This position is for support during the 3rd shift operations. This requires a person to be onsite to perform job as this is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

  • Provide building maintenance, and repair support for all Noven Buildings. Completes Planned and Non-Planned work orders. 
  • Reviews, updates, develops and implement preventative maintenance work orders and preventative measures for the facilities and facility related equipment as needed
  • Monitors and operates facilities equipment such as chillers, cooling towers, HVAC units, air compressors, forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts.
  • Typical repairs include but not exclusive to replacement of lights, repair of doors, replacement of ceiling tile, painting, wall repairs, replacement of HVAC equipment parts, Facility equipment preventative maintenance items such as; verification and replacement of belts, filters, drainage lines and application of lubrication to specific equipment and parts. These activities may take place either along the interior or exterior of facilities.
  • Able to work in inclement weather when required; IE assessing for a roof leak when rain has stopped.
  • Assist with trash pickup along grounds and landscaping to keep professional appearance of Noven property.
  • Assist with maintaining building climate control systems (HVAC) and compressed air for all Noven buildings via the Building Management system.
  • Set up training rooms layouts as requested by meeting owner.
  • Become a member of the hurricane / disaster emergency Response team which plans and executes preparations and recovery before and after the events.
  • Additional duties may apply as specific situations requiring assistance arise.
  • Will perform “On Call Weekend Duty” in support of site as part of team rotation schedule.

Qualifications

Competencies:

 

Education / Experience:

This position requires person to be onsite to perform job. This is not a remote position. High School degree is required.  Good well rounded technical background.    Additional technical school education or coursework is preferred.  Familiar with basic computers and software; Familiar with SAP and or Building Management Software and Facility Maintenance Softwares a Plus. Hands on repair/replacement skills required with a minimum of five years experience in a cGMP facility (IE Medical Device, Pharmaceuticals, Nutraceuticals)

 

Judgment / Decision Making:

Duties performed independently or with the assistance of a colleague to complete task assigned. Basic problem solving and trouble shooting skills are required. Good communication skills required to keep supervisor and or customer / stake holder informed of progress as well as ask for help when needed.

 

Work Environment:

Majority of time spent in the field / on or in buildings, performing technical task.

 

Physical Demands:         

Lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.  Visual, audio acuity and manual dexterity required to

Perform the great majority of jobs and read documents and operate computer at a basic level.
